Alan Blakley

Alan David Blakley (1 April 1942 – 1 June 1996)[1] was a British guitarist and record producer, who was a member of the Tremeloes from its inception until January 1975, when he started writing for other bands. His credits include co-writing (with Len Hawkes) various hits for the Tremeloes and co-producing the UK No. 42[2] hit "She's Gonna Win", with Bilbo.

Not to be confused with Alan Blaikley.

Personal life

He had two daughters, Claudie Blakley and Kirsten Blakley,[3] with his actress wife Lin Blakley, and a brother, Mike Blakley.[4]

Blakley died of cancer in June 1996, aged 54.[5]
