Amitis (wife of Cyrus the Great)
Āmitis (Persian: آمیتیس ) was the wife of Cyrus the Great and perhaps queen of the Persian Achaemenid Empire. She was the daughter of Astyages, King of Media.[1] She may have been sent to Cyrus by Astyages in the same way Astyages sent Mandane to Cambyses I.
