Bessemer Academy
Bessemer Academy is a private school in Bessemer, Alabama. It was founded in 1970 as a segregation academy. Their athletic teams are nicknamed the Rebels after confederate soldiers in the U.S. Civil War.[2] They compete in sports within the Alabama Independent School Association, which provides for competitions between the member schools. Like many segregation academies, they do not report statistics to the NCES.
