Carl Blaze
DJ Carl Blaze (born Carlos Rivera; November 15, 1976 - December 23, 2006) was an American DJ of Dominican descent on New York City's Hip-Hop and R&B radio station Power 105.1 for over three years. He hosted many parties and was a DJ for several clubs throughout New York City. Rivera was born in the Washington Heights section of New York City.

Death
A resident of Elmwood Park, New Jersey, Carl Blaze was the victim of a fatal shooting on December 7, 2006, outside an apartment building in the Inwood section of Manhattan where he was said to have been shot 12 to 16 times at about 4:30 AM.[1] Sources say that a diamond chain was stolen from him at the scene. The chain was said to be worth roughly around $20,000-$25,000. He was taken to Harlem Hospital Center, where he died Saturday, December 23. No arrest has been made.[2][3]
