Cryptantha crymophila
Cryptantha crymophila is a perennial plant in the Borage Family (Boraginaceae).[2] It is commonly called subalpine cryptantha.[2]

Habitat and range
It is found in the Alpine and Tuolumne Counties, south of Lake Tahoe, in the Sierra Nevada range of California.[3] It is generally found in rocky volcanic soil or scree.[4]
Description
C. crymophila has many stems with prickly leaves.[4] It grows to a height of 5–16 inches (13–40 cm).[4] The nutlets have winged margins.[2]
