Gojoseon–Yan War
In the late 4th century BC, the Yan feudal state invaded the Gojoseon kingdom.[1] The military campaign was led by General Qin Kai.[1] The invasion resulted in Yan's conquest of the Liaodong Peninsula from Gojoseon.[1]

In this war, Gojoseon was the first to claim that he was a descendant of a "Gija". This is presumed to gain a cause for war against the Yan and to claim that they are an equal nation.
