Smooth-headed catfish
The smooth-headed catfish (Plicofollis nella), also known as the shieldhead catfish,[2] is a species of catfish in the family Ariidae.[3] It was described by Achille Valenciennes in 1840, originally under the genus Pimelodus.[1] It inhabits marine and brackish waters in New Guinea, Australia, and southern and southeastern Asia. It reaches a maximum total length of 47 cm (19 in).[3]
