Haensch's whorltail iguana
Haensch's whorltail iguana (Stenocercus haenschi) is a species of lizard of the Tropiduridae family.[2]

It is endemic to the Bolívar Province of Ecuador, where it is only known from one location. Due to much of its habitat and its rarity, the lizard is considered t be critically endangered and possibly extinct.[1]
The species is named in honor of German entomologist Richard Haensch.[2]
