Tamika Montgomery-Reeves
Tamika Renee Montgomery-Reeves[1] (born April 29, 1981)[2][3] is an American lawyer and judge. She is an associate justice on the Delaware Supreme Court.[4]

Education
    
Montgomery-Reeves received her bachelor's degree, magna cum laude, from the University of Mississippi[5] and her J.D. degree from the University of Georgia School of Law.[6]
Legal career
    
Montgomery-Reeves practiced at Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati in Wilmington where she focused on corporate governance and business litigation. She also practiced at Weil Gotshal & Manges in New York, where she focused on corporate governance and securities litigation.[6]
Court of Chancery
    
On October 13, 2015, Governor Jack Markell nominated Montgomery-Reeves to the Delaware Court of Chancery to succeed Vice Chancellor Donald F. Parsons Jr.[5]
Appointment to Delaware Supreme Court
    
On October 24, 2019, Governor John Carney announced the nomination of Montgomery-Reeves to be an associate justice of the Delaware Supreme Court, to the fill vacancy left by the elevation of Collins J. Seitz Jr. to Chief Justice.[6] On November 7, 2019, her nomination was confirmed by the Delaware Senate. She is the first African-American justice on that court.[7] She was sworn into office on January 3, 2020.[8]
