Wichelen
Wichelen (Dutch pronunciation: [ˈʋɪxələ(n)] (
listen)) is a municipality located in the Denderstreek in the Belgian province of East Flanders. The municipality comprises the towns of Schellebelle, Serskamp and Wichelen proper. On January 1, 2006, Wichelen had a total population of 11,145. The total area is 22.87 km² which gives a population density of 487 inhabitants per km².
