Erstein
Erstein (German pronunciation: [ɛɐ̯ˈʃtaɪ̯n], French: [ɛʁʃtajn]; Alemmannic: Eerstain) is a commune in the Bas-Rhin department, in the region of Grand Est, France.

History
Erstein was known in Alsace in the Middle Age for its Benedictine Abbey. An Ancient Roman village, its existence had been attested to by the Merovingian.
